The Ancestry were one of many Goth bands that appeared in the early 90's. They released a number of home made demo tapes and one professionally produced 12" single in the time they were together.

As a young 18-year-old roady I was travelling around the country between term time hanging out with and setting up shows for a few alternative and Goth bands. The Ancestry was one of them and they gave me my first non-pure art commission to paint and design the 12" single cover. This was all done via post and handwritten letter whilst waiting for the commercial internet to evolve.
